OGRES ARE LIKE...

Saturday morning.

Jamming to Christmas music and College Football.

Nothing could POSSIBLY go wrong. 

 Until you start chopping the onions.

 A LOT OF ONIONS.

But then you cook them. 

And all is well. 

 YUM.

Ten quarts. Like a boss.

MIMI'S CAFE

Have you tried the Tomato-Basic Soup at Mimi's?

Holy crap, it's good.

So I decided, with the help of my sister-in-law Hailey,

to duplicate it.

Basically, lots of basil.

Lots of tomatoes.

Lots of pureed white beans (for thickness).

Some butter, whipping cream, sugar, and salt.

And red pepper flakes for a kick.

 Blended together, and brought to a boil.

 And frozen.

One jar at a time.

I've made about sixteen quarts,

and only have eight left.

HOW AM I GOING TO LAST ALL WINTER??

OVERBOARD

Sometimes...when it's summer...

 and you have too much zucchini...

you just gotta do your best... 

to make the world a better place.

And then you pull out your zucchini plant.

Because it's driving you crazy.

It's rough having my nieces and nephews so far away.

SHADOWS

We got a little invested in our costumes this year.

MY POOR HAIR!!! 

Yes, we were shadows for the Leue Family Party. 

We just kind of followed people around and hugged the walls.

The kids LOVED IT. 

As always, we had to document the donut contest. 

It got pretty emotional for Tracy :) 

 Beckham really didn't like the screaming and cheering.

Poor kid.

Until next year.

And yes, it took about an hour to wash all the black off.

And half a bottle of conditioner.

What a mess.
