BACK IN THE SWING OF THINGS

Yes, we're back!

It was the perfect vacation - long enough to completely wipe us out

and not want to be gone a single day longer.

Luckily we had Memorial Day to recover

Because Phil's phone was the primary camera

we didn't take very many pictures.

Luckily we went with a group that took some of us

So I'll try to accumulate those asap to share.

Meanwhile...

our last mutual before we left was a hot dog eating contest up the canyon

Yes, we did have some up-chucking by the boys

who thought it would be a good idea to play some football in between rounds.

We actually ran out of the hot dogs

so we declared it a tie.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT

You may remember I swore off pizza and hamburgers until our cruise.

Which is Saturday.

AAHHH!!!

Honestly, the hamburgers I haven't missed at all.

But the pizza.

The commercials kill me.

But I've been strong.

Even when Phil brings home Pizza Hut and it's sitting on the table.

Staring.

I do nothing.

Then today.

Costco comes to our office to talk about memberships, etc.

They bring pizza.

I eat an apple beforehand so I wouldn't be hungry.

And I eat.

One slice.

Supreme.

For the veggies, right?

It was okay.

And eight hours later

I STILL have a tummy ache.

OUR BABIES

We stay pretty busy in our ward.

Taking care of our young.

Providing encouragement

"Wisdom"

Giving of our time

And energy

For their well-being

And fun.

We just love them.

Some things from your childhood, you just can't let go of.

Looking back, I'm sure this was Mom's

"we're so totally broke so this is what we can do" go-to dinner

But I actually liked it!

Biscuits, basic white sauce, dried beef, and peas.

SOS.

I never did get why she called it that

but beggars can't be choosers.

MOMENTS LIKE THIS...

Make me SO excited to have kids.

GRAD

My man did it!!

The first in his entire family to graduate!!

I am SO proud!!

Such a handsome guy, I know.

To celebrate, we had our family over for a BBQ dinner

Complete with grilled pineapple, naturally.

Happy graduation, love!

WINDY

Late one evening, we were about to settle down

and we heard a loud crash outside.

Thinking it was a branch, we checked.

Didn't see anything, but then we looked down the street.

The emergency response teams hadn't gotten there yet

but we knew we'd be calling them soon.

Cuz that happened.

THE WHOLE TREE!!

On their house!

The guy had JUST pulled his car in and stepped inside the front door.

We all stood around for a while to "help"

but then the "heroes" asked us to get out of the way.

The next day, this is what was left

Poor dented roof!

It was nice to call the police for a non-criminal reason.

Gotta love our neighborhood.
