SOS

Some things from your childhood, you just can't let go of.
Looking back, I'm sure this was Mom's
"we're so totally broke so this is what we can do" go-to dinner
But I actually liked it!
Biscuits, basic white sauce, dried beef, and peas.
SOS.
I never did get why she called it that
but beggars can't be choosers.

  1. YUM! That looks SO GOOD! I totally forgot about SOS but I'm thinking that will have to make it's way on our menu very soon.

  2. OH, I love it! :) We always make it with toast and use ham lunch meat. Knowing Grandpa & my Father in law... I can TOTALLY tell you what SOS stands for. It's a military thing. Maybe I'll let Wikipedia explain. ;)
